Tacoma Power has an opportunity for a Real-Time Energy Trader (RTET) to join our team. Tacoma RTETs optimize our resource portfolio by scheduling Tacoma's generation and power supply contracts, along with energy purchases and sales to ensure that the power supply obligations of Tacoma's customers are met in the most economical and cost efficient manner. Seek out real-time market opportunities and create innovative transactions that maximize the economic benefits from hourly market fluctuations. Tacoma's RTETs work closely with the Systems Power Dispatchers in the operation of Tacoma's generating resources.
Tacoma Power is an almost 100% hydroelectric, municipally-owned public power utility, located in Tacoma. We serve approximately 170,000 customers as one of the three operating divisions of Tacoma Public Utilities, alongside Tacoma Water and Tacoma Rail. Standard rotating shift (up to 12-hours per work period) covering all 24 hours a day and all days of the year.
