Job Description and Duties

Under general direction of the Staff Services Manager (SSM) II, the SSM I is responsible for directing the day to day activities of the Division of Law Enforcement’s (DLE) Fiscal Services Unit (FSU). This includes developing, planning, organizing, maintaining and directing complex and sensitive fiscal activities for the DLE. The FSU completes a variety of fiscal assignments; conducts project analyses; develops and maintains unit procedures; follows Division, Departmental, Department of Finance, Department of General Services, State Administrative Manual, and labor contract policies and procedures; works closely with bureau management, the DLE Office of the Chief (OC), and the Division of Operations, to develop and manage DLE’s fiscal activities. In response to critical workload, the SSM I may be required to work more than 40 hours a week due to DLE needs.
