The Dental Services Director of Operations is responsible for leadership, oversight, and direction for Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) dental services, ensuring that services are provided in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Supervisory responsibilities include assigning and controlling work flow, training employees, effectively recommending hiring and disciplinary actions, and conducting performance evaluations. Other primary functions include the supervision of staff, budget preparation and administration.
It is the responsibility of this position, under the overall direction and authority of the Commissioner of Human Services to ensure that the DCT Dental Services for individuals with disabilities has strategic direction that is consistent with the overall goals and policies of the Department of Human Services (DHS).
The Dental Services Director of Operations has a primary role in developing and maintaining positive, productive, and result-oriented relationships across a divergent group of persons including, patients, families, providers, clinicians, counties, other providers, hospitals, and other stakeholders. The position will have managerial influence and control over policy and practices, processes, and procedures. The job will also have managerial influence and control in the acquisition and allocation of fiscal, human, capital, and technological resources.
