Job Summary

*This position requires 2-3 days in office per week and other days per week are Telework.*

*This position is Temporary for approximately 6 months in duration."

This position is part of the Licensing Division at the Department of Human Services (DHS).

Responsibilities include:
  • Process applications/licenses issued based on social service agencies recommendations and statutory requirements
  • Generate and distribute written communications from the Division of Licensing to prospective applicants, license holders, county social service agencies and other agencies involved in a complex licensing process
  • Give public licensing information to callers such as the public, county agencies and providers of care
  • Prepare, scan, index, and verify documents for electronic storage
  • Perform routine clerical functions such as copying, filing, ordering and maintaining supplies, distributing mail and documents received by fax
  • Directing calls received on the division primary number to the appropriate staff


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Customer services skill sufficient to communicate and interact with team members and licensors
  • Data entry skills sufficient to process forms in an efficient and error free manner
  • English Language skills to interact with team members and county licensors via email if application information is incomplete or in question
  • Knowledge of mail processing equipment, multi-function devices and high speed scanners
  • Typing/keyboarding skills sufficient to enter information from applications and forms into licensing management system

Preferred Qualifications
  • Understand and maintain confidential and private information and follow protocols, policies, procedures and regulations related to the same
  • Experience developing standard work procedures or improving processes
  • Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures
