Position Summary: The Store Manager is responsible for oversight of all aspects of customer service, store operations and employee management in a friendly, fast-paced team environment. Also responsible for the oversight of all warehouse functions and personnel, which includes handling and moving inventory from receiving through shipping, daily loading and unloading of finished product, staging of materials, maintaining inventory control in a fast-paced team environment and managing logistics.

Primary Duties:

  • Hire and manage, coach, mentor, train, and support all direct reports.
  • Set a positive team atmosphere, demonstrate strong leadership skills and communicate professionally and positively with customers, coworkers and employees.
  • Utilize and expand knowledge of current markets served, industry trends, new products, market prices, customers, vendors and competitors.
  • Develop and implement programs to meet customer requirements.
  • Maintain contact and friendly relationships with suppliers and customers, building a favorable company image and resolving problems and complaints as they arise.
  • Maintain pricing profiles to be competitive with current market levels while attaining necessary margin and profit goals.
  • Direct the daily activities and workload for the warehouse team to achieve output goal requirements.
  • Oversee and direct daily activities of the production and kitting operations.
  • Ensure all procedures and processes are being followed and tasks are completed.
  • Daily review and resolution of unconfirmed pick tickets.
  • Ensure daily cycle counts are completed and properly logged in order to meet the monthly count requirements.
  • Provide support and solutions for our ERP system (P21), which includes the Wireless Warehouse Management System (WWMS) and RF scanners.
  • Interact with and manage our logistics partners to achieve on-time delivery and minimize our freight costs.
  • Administer our ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System as it pertains to warehouse, which includes prevention of receiving or shipping damaged or non-conforming product.
  • Responsible for coordinating service and maintenance on delivery trucks, forklift and other warehouse equipment
  • Respond quickly and positively with resolution to customer and transfer shipping errors.
  • Ensure that the highest level of customer service and ethics are followed.
  • Generate and maintain accurate required documentation, including quotations.
  • Address and resolve all customer requests and/or complaints utilizing a positive, creative approach.
  • Collaborate with all appropriate departments and personnel to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with account development and make support calls on customers as necessary.
  • Report business progress, identify needs and concerns to executive team.
  • Complete forklift/safety orientation course(s); operate forklift as needed
  • Encourage positive thinking approaches to problem solving.
  • Address and resolve personnel issues in conjunction with Human Resources.
  • Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner and conduct annual performance reviews.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
  • Comply with and enforce all company rules, safety regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Champion implementation of MFCP programs and carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures and applicable laws.

Basic Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with minimum of 3 years of management experience preferred.
  • Experience and/or education in business administration preferred.
  • Excellent written & oral communication and strong relationship building skills required.
  • Detail oriented with solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Solid computer skills including use of MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook), with a willingness to learn new software programs. Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 a plus.
  • Must be able to understand and calculate gross profit/gross margin, add, subtract, multiply, and divide. The ability to calculate averages and other functions preferred.
  • Must be a good listener with above average reasoning ability and make minimal mistakes. Must be a good learner whom can assimilate product knowledge and skills as they are presented.
  • Experience with industrial distribution, preferably fluid power components preferred. Familiarity with industrial and hydraulic hose and fittings, especially Parker Hannifin a plus.
  • Must be able to work with a wide variety of people and personalities.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Job requires frequent lifting up to 70 pounds, stooping, reaching above shoulder level, pushing, pulling, constantly walking/standing on cement flooring and climbing ladders as needed. Work environment may vary including: warehouse containing moving equipment, fluctuating temperature and inventory in various storage arrangements, office work, manufacturing, machine shops, agricultural operations, and any other specific business operations of current or potential customers

Salary:

$60-65,000/yearly, depending on experience
