The Learning Innovation Specialist will support EGEA’s day to day technical activities with a specific focus on providing technical assistance to Higher Education Institutions in integrating content onto learning management systems, supporting the translation of in-service professional development into interactive blended offerings, supporting digital curricula, and contributing to broader data system enhancement.

Your Background & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (e.g. education, instructional design, learning technologies, computer information systems, or related fields); Masters preferred.
  • Professional certificates in cloud, data science, AI and programming preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience working in a non-profit organization and/or managing international education programs, preferably with a focus on learning technologies and higher education.
  • Experience working with higher education institutions, especially around technology integration and technical assistance for teacher professional development highly preferred.
  • Experience designing, developing, and implementing online learning courses and materials.
  • Experience monitoring and evaluating use and effectiveness of online learning systems preferred.
  • Strong computer skills and proven track record in the advanced use of modern communications tools, internet, email, social media, and teleconferences.
  • Professionalism in written correspondence and report writing, excellent presentation and oral communication skills in Arabic and English.
  • Ability to work in a positive, solutions-oriented way independently and collaboratively with others on a team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with demonstrated cross-cultural sensitivity.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to multitask and adjust priorities in a fast-paced working environment to adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Must demonstrate valid proof of unrestricted work authorization in Jordan.

Your Daily Tasks

  • Support the technical team in all aspects of program implementation to ensure timely and accurate completion of deliverables.
  • Support the technical team and partners in the production of accurate and nuanced technical assessments, ensuring that these consider specific needs relating to learning technologies and innovative models of curriculum and professional development delivery.
  • Develop plan and support implementation for translation of in-service professional development into interactive blended offerings for early grades teachers and leaders.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to educators on the effective use of teaching and learning materials and innovation in technology, including strategies for differentiation, adaptation, and integration into classroom instruction.
  • Develop interactive and student-centered modalities of preservice teacher education within a university setting.
  • Develop digital curricula and contribute to broader data system enhancement.
  • Work closely with publishers, vendors, and suppliers to procure high-quality teaching and learning materials at competitive prices and ensure timely delivery and distribution to schools.
  • Explore the potential for supporting both teachers and learners through Generative AI and frontier technologies.
  • Support in the monitoring and evaluation of the impact of technology interventions.
  • Manage the production of program deliverables including reports, technical products, training materials, handbooks, templates and guides, including content development, formatting and proof reading related to above listed technical areas.
  • Under the supervision of the Deputy Chief of Party, liaise with key stakeholders to support the integration of learning technologies into early grades teacher education including specific technical assistance to Higher Education Institutions in integrating content onto online learning management systems.
  • Provide thought leadership on the topic of innovation in education delivery.
  • Represent the project’s goals in support of use learning technologies.
  • Processes program expenses as related to learning innovation program activities and personal expenses.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, fostering a positive and cohesive work environment to achieve shared project goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.
