Responsibilities

  • Conducts Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities in reviewing project reports, design drawings, and specifications.
  • Conducts Design Conceptual Reviews for complex projects.
  • Provides technical guidance and recommendations to client in support of Project Managers and Project Principals.
  • Contributes to pursuit efforts including proposals and statements of qualifications.
  • Maintains key client relationships with personnel at a decision-making level and takes on the role of client manager.
  • Reviews, recommends, and facilitates the growth of the internal technical capabilities for multiple different disciplines centered around the civil engineering industry.
  • Provides consultation and solutions to leadership in company’s technical capabilities.
  • Maintains relationships with industry experts and manufacturers to stay up on current industry technologies, trends, and specification requirements.
  • Maintains familiarity with current AWWA, ASCE, and ASTM design standards, manuals, details, and specifications.
  • Understands the business goals and project financial performance.
  • May assume responsibility as Principal-in-Charge of projects or Client Manager.
  • Mentor staff to execute final, detailed design and project closeout.
  • Exceptional leadership, inspiring multidisciplinary teams.
  • Maintains memberships in technical committees or professional practice organizations.



  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical preferred) from an accredited college or university.
  • Professional Engineering license required (PE).
  • 15+ years of experience primarily with large diameter water and wastewater pipelines and facilities.
  • Working knowledge of Bluebeam preferred.
  • Time management and organization skills with the ability to be involved with multiple different design teams and concurrent projects at various design projects required.
