The Community Behavioral Health Hospital (CBHH) in Rochester is a Joint Commission accredited hospital with a strong focus and commitment to service, quality, compliance, and great patient outcomes!

We are seeking a talented, mission driven, person-centered Hospital Administrator to join our team. As the new Hospital Administrator you will have the opportunity to receive knowledge transfer from the current Administrator who is dedicated to making a successful and smooth transition for the incoming Administrator.

The CBHH is a small 16 bed, inpatient psychiatric hospital that provides assessment and stabilization for adults experiencing acute mental health symptoms. The typical length of stay is 30 - 45 days, during which treatment focuses on comprehensive and person centered care and treatment, with the overall goal of preventing future needs for psychiatric hospitalization.

As the Hospital Administrator, in partnership with the Clinical Director, you will lead a multi-talented team consisting of medical staff, nurses, social workers, therapists and rehabilitation professionals in the overall operations of the hospital and oversee the provision of cost effective and quality care and treatment to patients who have been civilly committed. Responsibilities include:
  • Provide overall administrative direction and leadership to the clinical, human, fiscal, and physical plant resources to ensure delivery of the highest quality care and treatment;
  • Determine the direction and scope of treatment staff activity;
  • Develop strategies to identify and resolve operational and physical plant issues;
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with local, county, and community services to provide an array of treatment resources for patients;
  • Ensure training and credentialing requirements are met and encourage staff professional development;
  • Ensure treatment services continuously meet or exceed all applicable Federal, State and local rules, standard, and regulations.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • 3 years of healthcare administration or management experience. Experience must include:
    • An ability to identify and cultivate talent, engender mutual respect, promote a culture of high performance and teamwork, and prioritize professional development; resulting in engaged staff and a healthy, collaborative environment
    • Demonstration of strong business acumen, a sophisticated knowledge of healthcare, and experience in making complex and difficult decisions
    • Experience leading in a healthcare regulated facility (such as The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), etc.)
    • Experience with budget management

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of healthcare administration and management experience
  • Current Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE)
