Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Business Unit Leader, set up systems for the tracking of key production indicators, determine manufacturing schedules to maintain optimum inventory levels and ensure an uninterrupted supply of raw materials. Main responsibilities for assigned production line include review of daily inventory and sales reports, issuance of weekly and monthly PSI reports and production schedules, follow up on timely product releases and monitor raw materials availability. Focus should also be on the dollar value of raw material and finished goods inventories with intent to minimize investment.

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Set up systems for the tracking of key production indicators, determine manufacturing schedules to maintain optimum inventory levels and ensure an uninterrupted supply of raw materials.
  • Main responsibilities for assigned production line include review of daily inventory and sales reports, issuance of weekly and monthly PSI reports and production schedules, follow up on timely product releases and monitor raw materials availability.
  • Focus should also be on the dollar value of raw material and finished goods inventories with intent to minimize investment.
  • Interface with departments such as, manufacturing, quality, purchasing and engineering to ensure schedule dates and requirements are being met.
  • Perform basic detailed scheduling duties as required.
  • Verify component inventory is available for completion of schedule.
  • Work with business units’ management to ensure labor and equipment capacity is available to complete schedule.

Expertise: Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of fundamental scheduling processes and controls.
  • SAP or similar large ERP Software experience.
  • Experience using computer based materials software including MRP.
  • Requires basic knowledge of relevant business practices and procedures in professional field. Uses standard theories, principles and concepts and integrates them to propose a course of action.
  • Works under general supervision. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish assigned goals. May periodically assist in orienting, training, assigning & checking the work of other peers.
  • Judgement is required in resolving all day-to-day problems.
  • Contacts are primarily with direct supervisor, peers and subordinates.

Preferred Reqirements:

  • APICS certification a plus.

Target Based Range

$73,900- $83,900

Qualifications

Education and Professional Knowledge:

Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

02-04 years related experience required.

Certification:

Applicable industry/professional certification preferred.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

Requires basic knowledge of relevant business practices and procedures in professional field. Uses stanadrd thoeries, principles and concepts and integrates them to propose a course of action.

Supervision Given and Received:

Works under general supervison. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish assigned goals. May periodically assist in orienting, training, assigning and checking the work of other peers
